“Look” 3-D Technology
Apartment List has given its users a more in-depth view of online listings with the launch of “Look”, its newest feature that will give users a 360-degree overview of online properties. This “3-D” technology has now been launched in 5 top markets: New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver and Washington, D.C.
Using special cameras and software that Apartment List created specially for this platform, online apartment listing photos come more to life by allowing the viewer to virtually “fly” through the space they are looking at.
“Look” technology has already been used to enhance over 30,000 listings so far and Apartment List has already seen a dramatic rise in time spent viewing properties that uses Look-enhanced listings. Since rolling out this feature John Kobs, CEO of Apartment List said consumers have been spending an average of three times more on listings with Look than those without it.
In May, Apartment List attracted 1.5 million unique visitors to its site, making it the 15th most popular real estate network that month, according to comScore.
